
Both the site and our organisation share a progressive approach to hands-on conservation work, public education, birding, ecological restoration, cultural programming, communications, and community engagement. Â We also provide volunteers with specialized training where necessary so that we all learn and grow, and ensure the best possible experience on site.
How to Get Involved
You must be a member of Wild Bird Trust of BC to volunteer. If you have further questions or for more information, send an email directly to volunteer@wildbirdtrust.org.
Join a Committee

Programs
Help plan and develop programs in culture – such as literary events, art exhibits, public art commissions, and publications – or in education, such as school programs and nature walks.
Communications
Help with our social media profiles on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter, help build and maintain our website, or help with our Wingspan magazine, trail signage, and media releases.
Habitat
Help develop our Habitat and Cultural Use Management Plan, restoration projects, site maintenance, birding, and ecological research projects
Fundraising
Help with grant-writing, events, donor appeals, and bench program
