Dedicated bench overlooking Burrard Inlet by Maddie Edmonds
By purchasing a bench, tree, or custom art feature sited in a special location at the Flats, residents may honour a dearly departed family member or friend, or celebrate a significant event such as a birth or marriage.
Details
Locations for the bench, tree, or art feature are chosen in consultation with the Site Manager from an approved list - final site decisions are made by the Site Manager. Benches and art features are maintained and, if necessary, replaced by the Trust for a period of 10 years.
Dedicated Coast Salish Tree Planting
$1,500
The cost covers the purchase, transport and planting of the tree.
The tree will be selected from the Coast Salish Plant Nursery at the Flats, in consultation with the Site Manager.

Bench
$5,500
This cost covers acquisition, installation and maintenance of the metal and wood bench. (10 year period, options for renewal.)
A custom bronze plaque (approximately 4” x 8”) if desired, is included.

Artistic Bench
$9,000
This cost covers acquisition, artwork, installation and maintenance of the metal and wood bench. (10 year period, options for renewal.)
A custom bronze plaque (approximately 4” x 8”) if desired, is managed and ordered separately.
Dedicated Custom Art Feature
$5000- 10,000
Arrangements can be made to commission an artist to design and fabricate a special memorial feature for placement at the Flats, in consultation with the Executive Director and approval from the Board.
