Douglas Iris flowers can range from pale cream to light/dark lavender, or deep reddish purple flowers that bloom from March to May. It forms large clumps by reproducing through underground creeping rhizomes. Best planted in full sun to partial shade, moist to dry well-drained soil, with high organic matter. Tolerant of coastal conditions, drought, or seasonal flooding.
