July is upon us. That means we’ve got some amazing summer programs lined up for you! Due to COVID-19, all programs will continue to be online, but we are closely monitoring the situation until it’s safe for us to reintroduce in-person events. 

In the meantime, we want these programs to be accessible to you, so all of them will be free (with a pay-what-you-can option to support our virtual programming). We’d also be happy to provide any support for people that may be having a hard time connecting with us in this new way, so feel free to send any inquiries/feedback to communications@wildbirdtrust.org.

Without further ado, here are some of the events you can look forward to this summer:

WBT Volunteer Orientation – July 19th (1 PM)

Are you a member that wants to get more involved with WBT? Or just generally want to do some hands on work with our organization? Join us for a volunteer orientation! The event will include a general presentation about WBT, how to volunteer, as well as details about specific roles.

Arts & Crafts with Invasive Plants – July 22nd (1 PM)

Make arts & crafts using common invasive plants right in your own backyard. Projects include producing pigments for painting, and making a nature notebook!

Virtual Scavenger Hunt – July 26th (1PM)

Learn about invasives & plant families in your backyard through a virtual scavenger hunt! Discover how to identify plants, while enjoying a fun relaxed activity for the whole family.

Caretaking Eagles with John Preissl – July 29 (6:30PM) (potentially)

WBT Board member John Preissl has had a lifelong dedication and passion for protecting and caretaking the Bald Eagles on Coast Salish Lands. Tune in to this online presentation as he shares his work from the past 20 years with the eagles of Burnaby Mountain, Chehalis Nation, and the Coast.
